40MP X-Trans CMOS 5 HR Sensor, X-Processor 5

At the heart of the X100VI is a high-resolution 40.2MP X-Trans CMOS 5 HR sensor that uses enhanced image processing to deliver superior image quality without sacrificing the signal-to-noise ratio. This sensor’s improved pixel structure allows more efficient light capture, ensuring sharp and vibrant images. Paired with the X-Processor 5, this camera benefits from 64-bit processing, providing 3x faster speeds for both photography and video tasks. Together, these components offer exceptional photo quality, impressive dynamic range, and fast operation, even at high ISO levels.

Advanced Video Capabilities

The powerful video capabilities of the X100VI ensure that users can record in 6.2K at 30p in 10-bit color, along with 4K HQ mode for superior quality output by oversampling 6.2K footage. For those looking for higher frame rates, 4K 60p and FHD 240p options are also available.

In-Body Image Stabilization and Enhanced Autofocus

For the first time in this series, the X100VI introduces in-body image stabilization (IBIS), which provides up to six stops of stabilization to counteract camera shake. The improved sensor-processor pairing also enhances the autofocus system, offering faster performance and smarter subject tracking with 425 phase-detection points. An AI-driven adaptive algorithm further ensures precise focus, even on fast-moving subjects.

Built for Speed, Ideal for Street Photography

Street photographers will appreciate the camera’s ability to capture fast-moving subjects, thanks to an electronic shutter speed of 1/180,000 sec and a mechanical shutter speed of 1/4000 sec. The X100VI can capture continuous images at 20 fps with the electronic shutter (1.29x crop) and 11 fps with the mechanical shutter.

Fujinon 23mm f/2 Lens

The newly updated Fujinon 23mm f/2 lens is equipped with two aspherical elements for enhanced sharpness and clarity. With a 35mm full-frame equivalence, this bright f/2 lens excels in low light and provides beautiful bokeh. Additionally, the built-in 4-stop ND filter offers greater control in bright conditions, allowing for creative use of depth of field.

While the lens is fixed, the X100VI offers 1.4x and 2x digital teleconverter options to simulate the longer focal lengths of 49mm and 70mm, respectively.

Advanced Hybrid Viewfinder

The Advanced Hybrid Viewfinder gives you the flexibility to switch between an optical and an electronic viewfinder. The optical viewfinder (OVF) provides a natural, clear view, perfect for seamless composition, while the electronic viewfinder (EVF) offers a wealth of information and precision. The Electronic Rangefinder function also combines both OVF and EVF features for enhanced manual focusing.

Film Simulation and Creative Modes

FUJIFILM continues to delight with its extensive array of Film Simulation modes. New to the X100VI is REALA ACE, joining a lineup of 19 other popular modes such as Provia, Velvia, Astia, and Classic Chrome. Additionally, the Grain Effect mode adds texture to your photos, mimicking the look of vintage film. Color Chrome and Color Chrome Blue effects enhance color depth and tonal response, perfect for vibrant subjects.

Seamless Cloud Connectivity with Frame.io

A standout feature of the X100VI is its Frame.io Camera-to-Cloud integration, allowing photographers and videographers to upload content directly to the cloud for immediate collaboration. Using built-in Wi-Fi or Ethernet LAN, you can send raw images, JPEGs, or video proxies directly from the camera.

Body Design and User Interface

The X100VI maintains the compact dimensions of its predecessors, measuring 5 x 3 x 2.1 inches and weighing 1.1 lb. Its durable, weather-resistant body is paired with a 3.0-inch tilting LCD touchscreen for intuitive operation. Ergonomic design features include top plate locking dials, front and rear command dials, and a rear joystick for easy navigation. The camera also features Bluetooth and Wi-Fi for wireless image sharing and remote control.

A single SD card slot supports UHS-I standards, and the included NP-W126S battery provides up to 450 frames per charge with the OVF.
